THE TREND: SKINNY DENIM
What does California Style mean? Whether you are a native or have visited a few times, you may have noticed California style is an eclectic mix. It's part relaxed bohemian, mixed in with a little edge, combined with colorful, feminine glam. As different as the regions of California are, that's as different as California style can be. But one thing can be said, there is a definite laid back, yet chic vibe to California style.
Being a California Native, I've grown up through all types of fashion trends. From grunge to neons, semi-preppy to relaxed, I've seen a lot of styles and clothing pieces come and go. But one staple in my wardrobe has been, far and away, my denim. I might have gone through wide-leg, high-waisted trends, but denim has always been a staple in my wardrobe.
Skinny jeans, while around for a few years now, still feel fresh and new to me every season. That's the thing about California, we love our jeans. We wear them with just about everything and anything, on weekends and work days. We California girls can turn out a pretty great outfit from our favorite denim styles, can't we? There is a true, laid-back yet chic vibe that denim brings with it and in California, that's just how we like it. This fall, my love of skinny denim remains tried and true and I don't anticipate that changing anytime soon. Here are three ways to pair your jeans, from a California Gal, who considers jeans a fall wardrobe staple!
Style 1 | Edgy Chic
Style 2 | Relaxed Bohemian Meets Feminine Glam
Style 3 | Tailored Bohemian
